The Huntsman Condo – Beltline

The Huntsman was built in 1980 at the height of the national oil crisis and has always been a prestigious landmark along 13th Ave SW off 14th Street in the historic Connaught district in the Community of Beltline.

The Huntsman employed a full-time concierge for many years and it was only in about 2015 that they deemed the position to be rather redundant considering there are only 67 Units in the stately building.  The Huntsman is located at 1334 13th Ave. SW.

Management at The Huntsman has done remarkably well keeping up with all the upkeep that can be required in a building of this age.  In 2014, significant upgrades were completed in the lobby and security cameras/system.  The trash compactor was replaced.  Previous to that, in 2010 they began the window replacement project so the windows and casings all seem to be in very good condition.  In 2015 they began the significant project of repairing the exterior masonry & Bricks.   They also have plans on removing the jetted tub in the exercise room, and saunas, which added significantly to costs and the occasional usage could not be justified.

There is still much on the table such as hallway carpet replacement and electronic control panels/signalling devices replacement.  Both Management and the condo board have demonstrated that they are moving forward responsibly and diligently to ensure that The Huntsman retains its original charm and integrity moving forward.  It is easy to see why.   Many of the units in The Huntsman have had significant upgrades completed.

One very noticeable feature of The Huntsman are the enclosed balconies incorporated into many of the upper floor units.   These create a warm and inviting ambiance with breathtaking views in 3 directions.  Fascinating!
