Technology Update

The Calgary Real Estate Board has just unveiled the new www.CREB.com website as of this morning. It appears to be much more informative and easy to navigate then the old site. Of particular interest and benefit to the public is the readily accessible link to REALTOR® open houses! You can very easily find open houses which match your price criteria and using an easy graphical interface, find any open houses posted by the participating REALTORS®.

The MLS.ca is slowly being phased out, to be replaced with the more intuitive and user friendly www.realtor.ca. The easiest thing of course is still to call your REALTOR and let them do the work for you.

The board has also completely phased out the old grey key-boxes which you’ve seen around for so many years. They have been replaced with the new blue boxes, which support many advanced security features.

Prices have come down substantially over the summer, so it should be a great time to buy. Many sellers are motivated. Don’t hold off too much longer.

Showing Feedback

Over the next week I am implementing a new Seller Feedback Feature which will offer valuable feedback to my clients with respect to showings. We are still working out some of the minor bugs, but for the most part it is pretty much functional, to my knowledge.

For the time being, the link to your login is below the main menu on the left of my screen at www.calgarymike.com. This might be moved at a later date, in which case all clients will be notified.

Showing Realtors will be requested to give their feedback on three occasions, two days apart, and their responses, or lack thereof will be registered in your secured designated login area.

I hope that you will appreciate the benefit of this system, which while still in tryout mode, I expect will continue to bring value added service to all my clients for a long time to come.
