Small Claims Court
Civil court hears all civil claims, subject to Provincial Statutory restrictions. The court can hear claims up to $25,000, subject to some restrictions. Civil court also hears applications for landlords and tenants under the Residential Tenancies Act and Mobile Home Sites Tenancies Act (this means landlords and tenants who have a dispute can ask the court for a remedy by making an application in court).
