Nova Condo – Beltline

The NOVA condo is one of a group of three developed by Qualex-Landmark and constructed by ITC Construction Group.  It is a nice clean solidly built and well managed hi-rise, situated between the Stella and the Luna, across from the Connaught School.

    Secure heated titled underground parking with access from the back of the building.  Heated underground visitor parking accommodates approximately 15 cars on the first level of the parkade.  Residents are not permitted to park in the visitor stalls. Only one vehicle is permitted per unit, at any one time in the visitor parking.  Visitors parking there must register with the concierge.  Maximum stay for visitor parking is 24 hours.   After that, visitors must re-register. There are four additional levels of parking for unit holders. In addition to a vehicle, a motorbike may be parked in your stall providing that neither vehicle extends more than 18” past the stall.

    RESTRICTIONS

    There are no pet or age restrictions in the NOVA at this time.  Unit holders are required to carry their pets while crossing any of the common property.

    SUMMARY

    The NOVA is a modern, well managed building which offers privacy and a host of amenities in downtown Calgary.  The only complaint that I have is that the Nova has no provisions for REALTOR® lock-boxes. Agents are compelled to anchor their lock-box a railing on the ground, out front. The awkwardly located lock-boxes will sometimes get completely buried in the snow, and it is nearly impossible to tell them apart and difficult to remove and replace them. This is inconvenient to the agents that are showing units on behalf of their unit-holders, and also to potential buyers looking to purchase a unit here.  I have observed their security personnel actually shoveling wet snow from the sidewalk right on top of the  lock-boxes.  Please let me know if this ever changes!
