Security is always a concern when dealing with the Internet and especially when transferring personal files and sensitive information. Not only is it important to my customers, but it is also a prime concern of mine. Without security in every aspect of my business and reputation would be in jeopardy. That is why I have taken substantial precautions to ensure the security of your data. The following are overviews of the ways in which you are protected.
I may collect and utilize information about you for purpose of providing you with service as it relates to my transacting business with you. This information is used exclusively for marketing properties - for sellers, and to locate and qualify prospective buyers & sellers. The information is kept geographically separated from everyone, and is accessible only to myself. Electronic data is securely stored using password verification, and again is geographically separated from all other personnel making unauthorized access impossible. I may share your information with 3rd party providers, such as lenders, home inspectors etc. only at your request.
Correspondence and hard data containing sensitive personal information is shredded in house, or in the case of archival disposal, may be outsourced utilizing a third party service which specializes in the disposal of sensitive material.
In an effort to improve efficiencies and to provide you with a higher level of service, I may share limited geographical data about you with an organization who is acting on my behalf, under a confidentiality agreement, exclusively for the purpose of mailing out my informative quarterly newsletter. Your name and address is never sold or redistributed to any other parties.
My data is backed up daily to a data center using 128-bit SSL encryption: The same technology used by banks secures your data during the backup process. While in back-up storage, the files are encrypted using 448-bit Blowfish encryption. This ensures that the data is safe from hackers, has never been broken and is of the highest military standards.
Your private information is never otherwise sold or transferred for any other purpose, unless in accordance with the specific terms of a written agreement with the exception under order of law, or if the company is sold, under the terms of this policy.
