Holly Point is located at 320 Meredith Road NE, Calgary in the popular community of Crescent Heights.  Built in 1981, It is one of two prominent condominium units which overlook Downtown Calgary, the other being Holly Park.  Holly Point is registered on Condominium Plan 8111087 and has 39 Units.  Parking is assigned and there is plenty of it,  on two levels.  The Lobby is on Level P2.  Residents on the South side of Holly Point have breathtaking views of the Downtown skyline. All of the units are large by most standards and have sizeable balconies and plenty of windows. All of the units in Holly Point are large, which makes it a good choice for anyone downsizing from a single family home.  Heat and Water is included in your condo fees. Holly Park is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac just west of St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, a well known, Calgary landmark.

They been doing some major improvements at Holly Point over the last couple of years.   I understand the roof has been replaced and the lobby has been modernized.  The lobby is very inviting with a relaxing water feature greeting you visitors on their arrival.  There is a two hour parking zone along the entire front of Holly Point. It is on a snow route so one should be cognizant of that.

The Holly Point Condo Board has been making some much needed and desirable improvements to the building in recent years.  This attractive water feature greats your guests upon their arrival and creates a visually stunning centrepiece.

The Holly Point Lobby has been recently modernized, and the elevator is practically brand new. I understand the roof has also been replaced so the board seems to be fairly proactive in maintaining the building.  The elevator has a special feature I really like and that is, it will wait open on the last floor it visited.  In a building with a small amount of traffic this can be a real time saver.  Below is the South panoramic city view afforded unit holders of Holly Point.

Holly Point’s exercise room is on the 3rd floor.  There is also an adjoining men’s and separate ladies sauna, with changing rooms.

The Social Room is large, and includes functional kitchen which can double as a wet bar.  There is also a pool table.   Functions are notated on the door.  I liked the fact that this room could be utilized as a board room on short notice as Holly Point residents are not locked out as with most other buildings.

There are some storage rooms available throughout the building.  These have been allocated on a 99 year lease.  Not all units have received one, and others may have more than one, depending on how they were initially allocated.

The Riverstone 16 story high—rise condo is situated between the Grandview and Roxboro House Condominiums right on the Elbow River.  The address is  318 26th Avenue SW, Calgary, T2S 2T9. The Riverstone was built in 1979 of concrete and brick construction and has an excellent location with access to public transportation and Downtown Calgary.  The area is quiet and serene and the building has an abundance of amenities.   Some of the penthouse units have large terraces, and many of the units have spectacular mountain and river views.

One of the first things you’ll notice about the Riverstone Condo is its unique overhead lighted canopy which will welcome you and your guests.   It is a very nice feature which sets the main entrance of the Riverstone back away from 26th Avenue and prying eyes.  It’s also a great place to park for quick deliveries, pickups and drop offs.

The main lobby of the Riverstone has a bright and airy feel.  Its expansiveness and atrium, are pleasing to the eye and welcoming.  They offer several seating areas where you can meet someone and discuss business without them having to come up the elevator. There is plenty of artwork and green plants.

GrandView Condo Calgary

The GrandView Condo is one of Calgary’s better kept secrets.  You probably drove by it a dozen times and barely took notice of it, as one will with the city growing so quickly.  The GrandView Condo is not to be overlooked however as a contender for one of the finer, well established condominiums in the city. The GrandView Condo is located at 228 26th Ave SW., Calgary, AB, directly across from the Elbow River, just off of the 4th Street bridge, which connects the communities of Mission & Roxboro.  The location is quite beautiful and quiet, and is adjacent to the city’s bike path. The GrandView Condo was designed by Gibbs Gage Architects and built by  Streetside Developments both out of Calgary and comprises mostly 1 and two bedroom units from $500,000 to over $1,000,000.  The GrandView Condo is has one of the few copper roofs to grace our city.

The GrandView high-rise Condo was completed in 2002.  Since this is a year around website, the pictures were taken early winter, but be assured that in the summer, the area is filled with an abundance of greenery.   The GrandView houses 16 delightful floors of luxurious living quarters numbering fifty-six.  Most of these well constructed, high-end units have great views, often in many directions, and all have balconies.

You will know that the Grandview is no ordinary condominium immediately upon approaching the striking building since it is one of the few condos in the city that has automatic entry doors.   It is also one of the few buildings that has around the clock concierge and security service.  The concierge service is very good, and they tend to stay around for quite some time, so they get to know the unit holders quite well.

The lobby in the GrandView is kept impeccably clean at all times.   The building itself has incredibly tight security and unfamiliar faces are carefully monitored via the reasonably conspicuous security cameras.

As might be expected in finer establishments, there is great attention paid to detail.  The GrandView Condo is no exception, and one can’t help but notice the near perfect finishing in just about every corner.  They haven’t cut any corners here, and this is reflected in every detail.

There are quite a few amenities and activities for residents to participate in.  The Lang House Residents Club provides a perfect venue to getting to know your neighbours, most of who are of retirement age or younger.  Monday is games night and starts precisely at 7 PM.  Yoga classes are conducted weekday mornings between 9 and 10.  Of course this is always subject to change.  The Lang House was originally owned by Mr. Lang, one of Calgary’s prominent real estate owners of the 20th century.
